For the most part, I detest my job. But there are always those little bright spots to my day that almost, I say almost, make it worthwhile. Today had one of those spots.
One of the ladies I work with has twin sons in first grade. They are the cutest, most well behaved children I have ever met. Every morning they walk past my office and say "good morning Miss Amy. How are you today?" I say I am well and ask how they are and they respond "fine." It's really very cute. But today, one of them went above and beyond cute, he is absolutely adorable.
All last week I was very sick. I could hardly talk, but being the brilliant person that I am, I still went to work. On Wednesday, this one boy asked me what was wrong with my voice as I sounded remotely like a frog. I said I wasn't feeling well. So he asked me if I had a heart attack.
Fortunately, I was well enough to have a few girls from work over on Saturday to do a Mary Kay pampering party. This boy's mom was one of the women who came. The boy wanted to come too, but his mom said that it was just for grown up women and they wanted to make sure that I was better. So this morning, as I'm drinking my coffee and talking with some teachers, this lady comes up to me and says that her son would like to give me something that he made for me while she was at my party. The little guy comes into the room and hands me an envelope with Power Ranger heart stickers and two petals from his mom's flower garden. Inside was a rubbery bracelet about asthma and two keys to the sprinkler system at his house. It was simply adorable. He wanted to make sure that I was better. How cute is that?

That is so adorable!! :)
Yeah. This morning I gave him a thank you card. His mom said he was so excited! I could hear him running around the office telling everyone that Miss Amy gave him a card. They are most definately the most adorable children EVER.
