I'm sitting at home, on a Saturday night, working. And my company's website is SOOOOOOOO SSSLLLLOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWW. I have seriously been on the computer for exactly 38 minutes and have succeeded in doing about 6 minutes worth of work. The other 32 minutes have been waiting for my changes to be processed. Which is really boring and somewhat depressing. I keep flipping back and forth between my blog and the company web page but nothing is happening. Yep. Still nothing.
So, I'm going to ramble on and on and on about nothing while I wait for the stupid website to work so I can delete everything that I did on Friday morning. Which is also depressing. You know, all the changes that are occurring daily at my school are not very efficient. I spend more time changing the class sizes then I have enrolling children. I'm honestly scared to do anything, since everything will be changed by a some new committee at corporate and anything I have done be rendered moot. Like the class matrix. I'm wasting my Saturday evening redoing the matrix because I planned on 6 kindergarten and 6 first grade teachers based on our number and then corporate said "oh no! we would have to hire another teacher, and that would mean less money in our wallets... squish more kids into one class!" and now I have to squish more kids into one class. Which is why I'm writing in my blog waiting for my stupid web site to work so I can put 22 kindergarteners in one class instead of 18 (which is the FL state maximum for a class....)
Which brings me to a great idea for a poll. Every job has their ups and downs, but how long is long enough before you can start really detesting your job and want to quit? I mean, right now, I've worked this job less than 6 months and I really want to quit, but the problem is they need me.
SO: to all my devoted readers (or should I say reader?) how long must one wait before one can detest one's job?

I think you have waited quite long enough. You may now detest your job.
However, you may still have to work there. And unfortunately, you have to be content there. Especially since your husband works there and still loves it. Catch 22 to be sure.
This week will go better. Just think happy thoughts and you can fly.
